Carmarthenshire

At present the only known site for Panagaeus cruxmajor [RDB1] (Carabidae) in the British Isles is on the Carmarthenshire coast.

At the edges of dune slacks at Tywyn Burrows, where tall clumps of Gipsywort Lycopus europaeus grow amongst scrub (mainly willow Salix), the rare weevil Datonychus arquatus (Curculionidae) may be found sparingly from June to August.

Bagous frit [RDB3] is found very locally in Sphagnum bogs from April to August.
