Cheshire

The Lesser Silver Water Beetle Hydrochara caraboides [RDB1] (Hydrophilidae) has been found at a few ponds in the south of the county.

The rare longhorn Acmaeops collaris [RDB1] (Cerambycidae) has declined dramatically from a historically wide distribution throughout England, but the species may still occur in a very few deciduous woods in the county.

The leaf beetle Bromius obscurus [RDB1] (Chrysomelidae) is only known from one locality in the British Isles: a patch of Rosebay Willowherb Chamaenerion angustifolium on a railway embankment near Bosley, where it should be sought by sweeping from May to October.
