The rove beetle Philonthus lepidus [RDBK] (Staphylinidae) has occurred at an undisclosed coastal locality in the county, where it should be sought under litter in the summer.

At Merthyr Mawr Warren, the rare flightless weevil Glocianus pilosellus [RDB2] (Curculionidae) occurs on bare sand or near dandelion Taraxacum.
