Hertfordshire

Remarkably, two species of rove beetle are only known from unique type specimens found at St Albans in Hertfordshire. These are Thecturota williamsi [Endemic, RDBK], found on 26th August 1930 and Anopleta verulamii [Endemic, pRDBK].
